Empty Bowls Fundraiser
We are excited to announce this year’s event is at a new location!
Colonial Woods Missionary Church
3240 Pine Grove Avenue

Local potters are busy creating bowls and local restaurants are confirming their donations of delicious soups to make at this year’s Empty Bowls event in St. Clair County. The Empty Bowls is a key event in raising local awareness of hunger in our community. Last year, thanks to donations, Empty Bowls raised $35,712.00. The Silent Auction held during the event contributed $4,772.00 to this total. In 2019, Mid-City Nutrition provided 58,058 meals to the homeless and hungry in our community. Also, in collaboration with the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan and local area churches and businesses, 418,477 pounds of food was distributed to approximately 5,565 families; 1,694 of those were senior citizens.
